Welcome to BrightWood Creative, where storytelling meets strategy. I’m Alisia, the creative force behind the brand. With a background in journalism, photography, and design, I bring a unique blend of visual and narrative expertise to every project.

For 15 years, I worked as a wedding photographer, capturing the emotion and energy of life’s most meaningful moments. Before that, I honed my storytelling skills in journalism, graduating from University of Montana with honors, and with many awards under my belt, including the prestigious National Hearst Award for my video documentary about smoking on Montana’s Rocky Boys Reservation. After graduating, my career took me through newsrooms across Montana, where I covered everything from breaking news to in-depth feature stories, refining my ability to craft compelling narratives.

My design training began in journalism school, where I learned the fundamentals of visual storytelling, layout, and branding. That experience now fuels my work at BrightWood Creative, where I help businesses and individuals build their brands through strategic content, thoughtful design, and engaging social media.
